This role reports to the CEO and requires a highly organized, analytical, independent, and impact-driven individual capable of taking on a broad set of responsibilities at the heart of a category-leading climatetech company. You would play a central role for a broad set of responsibilities spanning strategic projects, investor relations, finance, team performance and more. </p><h3><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h3><strong>Strategic Projects</strong><ul><li>Serve as the escalation point before the CEO and the executive team across various functions</li><li>Coordinate company-wide quarterly and annual planning</li><li>Lead many strategic initiatives such as: market assessments, new process development, team off sites, AI integration for systems, vendor selections, and more for the CEO and leadership team</li></ul><strong>Investor Relations &amp; Fundraising</strong><ul><li>Help manage communication with the board of directors and investors, building coherent narratives about the progress, goals and needs of the company in slide decks and written memos; includes creating the first version of quarterly board decks</li><li>Support fundraising by leading financial modeling, supporting narrative and strategy development, maintaining our data room, and more</li></ul><strong>Finance &amp; Compliance</strong><ul><li>Facilitate our Finance Function including facilitating annual financial planning, budgeting, business model analysis, and our external accounting firms; done in conjunction with outside CFO support if needed</li><li>Proactively develop and maintain strategies to ensure we’re meeting insurance regulatory compliance and partner standards</li></ul><strong>Team Performance &amp; Hiring</strong><ul><li>Work with hiring managers to support recruiting efforts, improve candidate experience, and oversee a thoughtful onboarding experience</li><li>Oversee the core operational systems of the company by supporting the Operations Function in decision-making and serving as the first point of escalation </li><li>Ensure high levels of internal performance and job satisfaction by facilitating the company’s performance review, promotion, and compensation planning cycles</li></ul><h3><strong>Who You Are</strong></h3><ul><li>2-4 years at a top consulting firm or equivalent; 1-2 years at a fast-paced startup </li><li>Skilled in financial modeling</li><li>Highly organized with strong attention to detail</li><li>Excellent at translating data into insight, conducting research, and presenting scenarios in a compelling manner to decision-makers</li><li>Excellent at communicating to and collaborating with a diversity of stakeholders including  investors, board members, and all levels of an organization </li><li>Action-oriented, take deep ownership, and effective in a fast-moving, but ambiguous environment<br><br></li></ul><p><strong>Salary range:</strong></p><p>Floodbase offers competitive salaries with regular reviews and adjustments based on performance and industry standards. The salary range for this role is commensurate with experience, with an expected range of $130,000 - $160,000. Additionally, this individual will receive equity compensation and a competitive benefits package.</p>
