This mission-driven, strategic finance leader will oversee all financial operations across Kiva and its affiliates, including off-balance sheet funds, and serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team. Oversee financial planning, accounting, audit, tax, treasury, and fiscal management in alignment with Kiva’s strategic goals. </li><li>Drive strategic decision-making. Analyze and forecast financial assets (loans), loan capital, and assets under management to support long-term planning. </li><li>Own capital strategy. Shape and communicate financial forecasts, sustainability plans, and investor confidence strategies. </li><li>Ensure compliance and controls. Maintain a strong internal control environment and lead all audits, 990 filings, and regulatory reporting. </li><li>Oversee structured funds and affiliates. Guide off-balance sheet fund management to align with Kiva’s financial and social impact goals. </li><li>Enable data-driven leadership. Deliver operational insights and critical financial information to the Board, CEO, and senior stakeholders. </li><li>Build financial tools and systems. Enhance transparency and equip teams with the systems they need to track progress and manage budgets. </li><li>Lead the budgeting process. Direct annual budgeting and multi-year financial planning across departments and initiatives. </li><li>Mentor and grow the finance team. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the Finance function. </li><li>Partner across the organization. Collaborate with executive and senior leaders to ensure alignment between financial goals and Kiva’s mission. </li></ul>You Might Be a Fit If You:<ul><li>Have 10–15+ years of progressive experience in financial management, including FP&amp;A, audit, tax, accounting, and treasury. </li><li>Bring hands-on expertise in forecasting and modeling financial assets, liabilities, and revenue streams. </li><li>Have held key leadership roles with team oversight and strong cross-functional collaboration. </li><li>Are comfortable managing complex fund structures and working with CDFIs, asset managers, fintechs, or similar entities. </li><li>Have experience in nonprofits, impact investing, or global organizations (a plus, but not required). </li><li>Possess sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, and a track record of improving financial systems. </li><li>Lead with integrity, transparency, and a deep sense of accountability. </li><li>Are energized by building systems, mentoring teams, and aligning finance with mission-driven growth.</li></ul>What we offer:<ul><li style="font-weight:400;"><div>A work-from-home position; final candidate must be based and authorized to work in the U.S.</div></li><li style="font-weight:400;">An opportunity to improve real lives, solve hard problems, and change the world</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Friendly, supportive, and adventurous environment with a team of engaged colleagues</li><li>A comprehensive, industry-leading benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, parental leave, professional development, 401k matching, and unlimited PTO.
