Depending on where developers connect, they may be on the hook to pay millions of dollars to upgrade power lines, substations etc.</li></ul></div><h3>What you’ll do</h3><p>As Chief of Staff at Nira, you will serve as an extension of the C-suite working on special projects. You will be responsible for operational and strategic projects that:</p><ol><li>Are high value, but founders do not have time for.</li><li>Don’t clearly fall into any existing team’s responsibility.</li><li>Too important and strategic for us to give to our executive assistant.</li></ol><p>Your work will help Nira accelerate renewables getting built on the grid. On top of that, if you want to be a founder one day, this would be a great learning experience.</p><p>Examples projects include:</p><ul><li>Running point on our board meetings with investors.</li><li>Hiring our finance function.</li><li>Ironically, hiring a Chief of Staff is a great example of a task we’d want our Chief of Staff to do.</li><li>Working with our EA to plan offsites.</li><li>Proofreading all-hand announcements</li><li>Revamping our retention tracking system for our commercial team.</li></ul><h3>About You</h3><ul><li>0-3 years out of school.</li><li>Hungry and ambitious. Potentially wants to be a founder one day.</li><li>Interested in seeing first-hand what running a startup is like.</li><li>Mission-oriented and focused on working on climate.</li><li>Take ownership and thrive in ambiguity</li><li>Able to do data analysis for tasks like creating the investor board deck.</li><li>Mission-oriented and focused on working on climate.</li><li>Excited to work with Transmission Engineers and learn about how our electrical grid works.</li><li>Previous work experience in a niche domain is a plus.</li><li>Technical degree is a plus.</li><li>Capable of rolling with the punches.
