If you thrive in fast-paced environments, excel at managing teams and resources, and are passionate about safety and quality in construction, we want to hear from you.  SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Mechanical Operations Manager is a key leadership role responsible for the successful execution of mechanical and underground scopes on large-scale utility and commercial construction projects. This role oversees Mechanical Superintendents and field teams, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective completion of all mechanical work. The Mechanical Operations Manager collaborates closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, and subcontractors to align mechanical operations with overall project goals, schedules, and budgets.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul><li>Provide oversight and leadership to Mechanical Superintendents and field crews</li><li>Assist in the implementation and enforcement of project-specific safety programs</li><li>Manage and schedule mechanical crews across multiple tasks and job sites</li><li>Develop and implement site-specific logistics and installation plans</li><li>Interpret and apply contract drawings/specifications to field execution</li><li>Coordinate with project stakeholders including owners, inspectors, and other trades</li><li>Allocate labor, equipment, and materials; manage equipment requests and delivery logistics</li><li>Review and manage mechanical material and equipment budgets</li><li>Track project costs related to mechanical scopes and identify efficiencies or cost-saving opportunities</li><li>Lead quality assurance and control efforts in all mechanical installations</li><li>Maintain weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors and internal teams</li><li>Develop and maintain short-term lookahead schedules for mechanical work</li><li>Support Project Engineers with submittal reviews and shop drawings</li><li>Participate in preconstruction services and estimating/bidding opportunities</li><li>Assist in developing detailed CPM schedules and scopes of work for mechanical trades</li><li>Conduct regular job site visits to audit work progress, safety compliance, and operational effectiveness</li><li>Ensure accurate and current As-Built drawings are maintained for all mechanical installations</li><li>Collaborate with the Project Manager to assist in developing the Chart of Accounts for mechanical operations</li><li>Allocate manpower appropriately to meet project demands across multiple locations</li></ul>   WORK ENVIRONMENT: <ul><li>Primarily field-based with frequent travel to job sites</li><li>Outdoor work in variable weather conditions and noisy environments</li><li>Requires physical activity including standing for extended periods, walking across uneven terrain, and climbing</li></ul> POSITION TYPE &amp; EXPECTED HOURS: <ul><li>Full-time, salaried role</li><li>Standard construction workweek with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or extended hours as needed</li></ul> TRAVEL: <ul><li>Hybrid position with regular travel to project sites across the US </li></ul>OTHER DUTIES: This job description is not exhaustive.
