Marketing Accounting is a very critical component of the organization and entails considerable interaction with various layers of the organization. Position responsibilities:<ul><li>Manage the confirmation, reconciliation, settlement and financial summary of the physical and financial transactions by which Oil, Natural gas, and NGLs are bought, sold, transported and delivered.</li><li>Ensure timely &amp; accurate payment to suppliers (transportation, gathering, processing, purchases)</li><li>Ensure the timely collection of cash from debtors.</li><li>Maintain open and aged marketing account balances.</li><li>Provide the Production/Revenue accounting team with a monthly sales distribution in order to process the current month revenue and payment to partners &amp; land owners through the revenue accounting system</li><li>Provide a monthly Transportation and Marketing Income report to the planning and financial reporting teams</li><li>Reconcile marketing sales and intercompany balances with related parties</li><li>Provide estimated cash receipts and cash splits to Treasury on a monthly basis</li><li>Record the current month estimate accrual for revenue, transportation, and marketing income</li><li>Ensure the monthly the marketing trade receivable, marketing payable, marketing clearing, and marketing accrual accounts are reconciled on a timely basis.</li><li>Ensure that monthly and year end close processes are followed including related account reconciliations and entries to the general ledger.</li><li>Review commercial contracts obligations (e.g. transportation, gathering and processing) and ensure systems and processes are in place to capture those obligations.</li><li>Ensure adequate internal controls are in place and control procedures are followed.</li><li>Interact professionally and confidently with the Marketing Middle Office, Planning, Gas &amp; Power, and the Production/Revenue Accounting teams.</li><li>Prepare monthly analysis for use by management on the movement and realization of the products and its cost.</li><li>Prepare monthly imbalance summaries for natural gas, where applicable.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required</li><li>1-5+ years of finance and/or accounting experience (Oil &amp; Gas industry preferred)  </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and lookups)</li><li>Strong financial accounting skills including hands on experience with general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations.  </li><li>Ability to disseminate and reconcile pipeline, truck and plant statements.</li><li>Ability to research and prepare analysis to respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner.</li></ul>Key Competencies:<ul><li>Ability to communicate well and establish effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Ability to research and prepare analysis to respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Ability to multi-task several assignments simultaneously and establish job priorities.</li><li>Initiative to consistently meet internal and external deadlines.</li><li>Team player and openly collaborative.</li></ul>Repsol is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/Disability/Veteran#LI-KT1Required skills:
