Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential for success in this role.Essential Job Functions<ul><li>Oversee energy efficiency controls and conduct physical site inspections as needed, utilizing various tools and equipment, including measuring devices, hand tools, ladders, blower doors, combustion safety analysis equipment, and protective gear.</li><li>Prepare and upload quality control documentation for energy efficiency upgrades to a shared database while effectively communicating results to energy efficiency (EE) contractors.</li><li>Monitor onsite installations performed by both direct and indirect installers, identifying and correcting discrepancies to ensure compliance with quality standards.</li><li>Analyze installation failures and implement corrective actions based on findings and severity of quality issues.</li><li>Develop strong working relationships with solar installers and energy efficiency crews to ensure installations meet industry standards and best practices.</li><li>Design and implement training programs to enhance quality awareness among Field Technicians and subcontractors.</li><li>Continuously improve quality assurance (QA) inspection processes and procedures.</li><li>Prepare detailed QA reports and track quality performance metrics.</li><li>Ensure energy efficiency objectives are met by clearly communicating subcontractor expectations and coordinating policies, procedures, and productivity standards.</li><li>Uphold quality and customer service standards by identifying trends, resolving issues, and recommending system improvements.</li><li>Stay up to date with industry best practices and maintain technical expertise in energy efficiency.</li><li>Support the team by proactively identifying opportunities to enhance customer service through energy efficiency initiatives.</li><li>Assist the Account Management team with technical inquiries and concerns as needed.</li><li>Other duties as assigned by leadership.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Requirements<ul><li>A High School diploma or Trade School degree in construction, building sciences, engineering, or architecture is preferred.</li><li>Building Performance Institute (BPI) certification or relevant experience in energy efficiency is required.</li><li>At least two years of experience in construction, building sciences, or a related field. Experience in estimating, site auditing, or photovoltaic installation is preferred.</li><li>Strong customer service skills are required.</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office and a general ability to learn and adapt to technology.</li><li>Experience using online platforms such as Dropbox, Salesforce (CRM), and working across multiple devices (laptop, tablet, smartphone).</li><li>Must be flexible based on customer availability</li><li>Must have a valid state driver’s license and reliable transportation including the ability to to drive for work</li><li>Willing to move through the pre-employment screening process</li></ul>Physical DemandsThe physical demands outlined below are representative of those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.<ul><li>Ability to work in a variety of extreme environmental conditions (e.g., high heat, cold temperatures).</li><li>Must be willing and able to climb ladders, ascend/descend stairs, and work on rooftops of multi-level buildings, as well as within confined spaces such as attics.</li><li>While performing the duties of this role, the employee will regularly be required to speak and hear.
