Our culture supports our values by fostering innovative and critical thinking and a deep belief in living up to our promises.   Headquartered in the United States, Pattern has a global portfolio of more than 30 power facilities and transmission assets, serving various customers that provide low-cost clean energy to millions of consumers.<h2>Responsibilities</h2>Job PurposeAs the Senior Manager of Settlements, you are a key member of the Controller’s organization providing strategic Back Office in support of Pattern Energy’s energy management activities and commercial revenue arrangements for our fleet of renewable energy projects.  Pattern Energy is on an accelerated growth path and this role is essential to ensure the settlements function is scaled to support the business in achieving the overarching objectives of the enterprise.   You will also play a critical role in the Back Office functions necessary for transmission line operations.  And, in working with the Enterprise Technology team, you will oversee initiatives for selection and implementation of system applications used in settlement, invoicing and reporting of energy contractual arrangements. Key AccountabilitiesOversee a team responsible for:<ul> <li>Analysis and settlement of transactions in multiple power markets and futures exchanges in the United States and Canada, including CAISO, ERCOT, PJM, SPP, AESO, IESO, ICE/NGX</li> <li>Analysis and settlement of transactions under short and long-term transmission service agreements and Energy Imbalance Markets (EIM) </li> <li>Analysis and invoicing of counterparties under the terms of: 1) over 35 long-term commercial power arrangements with varying degrees of complexity, 2) sales of renewable energy credits, 3) capacity/resource adequacy and other contractual revenue arrangements.</li> <li>Evaluation of commercial power and other contractual revenue arrangements with existing or potential counterparties.</li></ul>Other key accountabilities:<ul> <li>Establish a Back Office function using best practices to support settlement, invoicing and regulatory reporting associated with transmission line operations.</li> <li>Manage the Back Office support in the selection and implementation of a bid-to-bill application for use in the settlement of transmission service agreements for Pattern’s generation and transmission assets and in complicated calculations associated with complex commercial power arrangement.</li> <li>Support execution of management initiatives and may include other activities as needed.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2>Experience/Qualifications/Education Required <ul> <li>Bachelors degree in business, economics, math or related field</li> <li>15+ years of experience with power market settlements and transmission settlements in the electric utility or renewable energy industry.</li> <li>At least 6-8 years in a leadership role and be able to demonstrate strategic thinking.</li> <li>Strong leadership and communication skills to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.</li> <li>Strong analytical skills to assist in the interpretation of complex market data.</li> <li>Experience with deal capture and bid-to-bill settlement systems.</li></ul> Pattern Energy Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.#LI-Hybrid #LI-AT1
