The ideal candidate has experience managing energy infrastructure projects exceeding $50MM in total installed cost and thrives in dynamic environments that demand precision, cross-functional coordination, and stakeholder engagement. </span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:12pt;">This position reports to the Senior Director, Project Management and is based in the Northeast, with a preference for candidates located in NJ/NY/PA.</span></div><br><br><h3>Key responsibilities will include:</h3><ul><li>Serve as the project lead for large-scale, technically complex microgrid projects, from contract execution through commissioning, with a focus on data center applications and other critical infrastructure.</li><li>Coordinate internal teams (Business Development, Engineering, Procurement, Service) to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.</li><li>Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and work breakdown structures; drive cadence of execution across all stakeholders, including customers, subcontractors, utilities, and regulatory authorities.</li><li>Oversee and manage third-party agreements with subcontractors, engineering consultants, equipment vendors, and commissioning agents.</li><li>Lead bid solicitation, RFP processes, subcontractor evaluation, and project budget development for jobs &gt;$50MM.</li><li>Monitor construction progress, control costs, and ensure delivery on scope, schedule, and budget expectations.</li><li>Proactively identify and mitigate risks, resolve cross-disciplinary project challenges, and maintain strict quality standards.</li><li>Support the continued evolution of our project management systems, playbooks, and best practices to scale alongside the company’s rapid growth.</li></ul><h3>The Ideal Candidate</h3><ul><li>6+ years of experience in construction management, general contracting, EPC management, or energy project delivery, including at least 2 years managing projects over $50MM in value.</li><li>Direct experience with critical infrastructure energy systems such as data centers, hospitals, or industrial microgrids is strongly preferred.</li><li>Proven ability to manage design-build projects involving high-voltage electrical systems, battery energy storage, solar PV, and backup generation.</li><li>Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, permitting processes, building codes, and interconnection requirements.</li><li>Demonstrated track record managing subcontractors, vendors, and engineering partners under complex contracts.</li><li>Familiarity with project finance structures, including tax equity, debt financing, and financial close processes, particularly as they apply to distributed energy or infrastructure projects.</li><li>Experience supporting or leading distributed energy project acquisitions, including technical due diligence, site assessments, risk review, and integration into broader portfolios.</li><li>Comfortable working autonomously and representing Scale in customer-facing roles, including managing senior client stakeholders and owners' reps.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree or PMP certification is a plus).</li></ul><br><div><span style="font-size:12pt;">This is a great opportunity to have a long-term impact on a fast-paced, private equity-backed growth business.
