You will engage with cross-functional teams to drive planning and execution of engineering activities including scheduling, deliverables, tooling / fabs, testing and validation.</p><p>In this role you will support the electrical and mechanical engineering teams in the product execution process. You will work with system program management, product management, operations, engineering, reliability, and regulatory teams to ensure product deliverables are met on-time and meet requirements. The Senior Hardware EPM will be responsible for the coordination and planning of all engineering milestones, development builds, and change requests, ensuring timely release of assemblies, components and systems to procurement.</p><p>The ideal engineer is an enthusiastic problem solver who can identify issues before they become problems, and is able build and implement effective processes where they are lacking.</p><h3>What You Will Bring to ChargePoint</h3><ul><li>EPMs are responsible for the daily management through the life cycle of the program. Must be able to define product life cycle steps and drive projects thru design and development as well as manufacturing execution</li><li>Plan the overall program and monitor progress to make sure that milestones are being met across the various projects and programs. EPMs should work with Product Management to drive the closure of product requirements via a PRD</li><li>EPMs need to develop a program schedule with identified key dependencies and get cross functional agreement to drive the schedule from concept to OK2 ship</li><li>EPMs manage the risks and issues that might and do arise over the course of the program life cycle, as well as take measures to correct them when they occur</li><li>Coordinate the projects and their interdependencies between the various tasks of the projects</li><li>Drive deliverables and align across projects in the program</li><li>Drive all project design and manufacturing issues via JIRA</li><li>EPMs manage the program budget and help drive project budget at project launch</li><li>Manage and use resources across the various projects to support the program</li><li>EPMs should communicate program status on a regular basis to the stakeholders</li></ul><h3><strong>Requirements</strong></h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience</li><li>3-8 years’ experience leading complex hardware technology projects with aggressive schedules</li><li>Experience leading the introduction of new technologies with a proven understanding of product development lifecycles</li><li>Ability to quickly pick up new technologies and industry trends</li><li>Outstanding critical thinking and passion for conquering what may seem to be impossible</li><li>Excellent leadership and social skills</li><li>Strong experience as a project manager of a large and complex project and have a broad knowledge of project and program management methodologies</li><li>Strong leadership and managerial skills with appropriate experience as well as knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures</li><li>EPMs must understand the wider objectives of the program, such as business and strategic goals</li><li>Must have an ability to work with a wide range of individuals</li><li>Fluency in using Confluence and JIRA</li><li>Demonstrate skills to manage cross functional teams by leading core teams, technical teams and contract manufacturers</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills (ability to influence without the authority)</li><li>Problem solving skills in design and manufacturing aspect of the product</li></ul><h3><strong>Location</strong></h3><p>Campbell, CA</p><p><span><span>ChargePoint is committed to fair and </span><span>equitable</span><span> compensation practices.</span> <span>The targeted US salary range for</span></span> <span><span>roles at this operating level is $</span><span>85,000</span><span> to $</span><span>220,000</span><span>.
