The Battery Test Technician will perform tasks in conditioning and testing Amprius Technologies’ proprietary silicon anode Li-Ion cells.  <em>This is a temporary role with the opportunity to be converted to a regular employee. </em></p><p> </p><h3>Job Responsibilities </h3><ul> <li>Perform routine tests on Amprius batteries to evaluate performance, safety, and quality. </li> <li>Utilize tools/equipment such as pneumatic cutter, electric drill, degas machine, and formation machine. </li> <li>Perform PC Board Soldering per specifications and instructions.</li> <li>Load cells into test fixtures, set-up and execute electrical cell tests. </li> <li>Measure cells using mass scale, digital multi-meter, and caliper.</li> <li>Perform visual inspections to identify and evaluate potential defects. </li> <li>Identify and escalate failures or unexpected behaviors to the Engineering Team within defined response time. </li> <li>Monitor and maintain testing equipment and calibrate as needed. </li> <li>Participate in troubleshooting and identifying causes with Engineers and Technicians. </li> <li>Accurate documentation of the data. </li> <li>Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives towards better efficiency and safety. </li> <li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. </li> <li>Follow safety guidelines for handling battery components. </li> </ul><p> </p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Proficient in use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. </li> <li>Comfortable performing manual tasks requiring precision and manual dexterity. </li> <li>Basic understanding of electrical connections and testing software. </li> <li>Proficient in troubleshooting and problem solving. </li> <li>Follow technical instructions for test procedures precisely and document results accurately. </li> <li>Motivated to new challenges and embrace learning new techniques and refining existing techniques. </li> <li>Autonomous, personable, positive and a good teammate. </li> <li>Organized, detail oriented, and clear written and verbal communication skills.  </li> <li> </li> </ul><p> </p><p><strong>Education, Certifications, Experience </strong></p><ul> <li>High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. </li> <li>Minimum 2 years of experience as an equipment operator or technician in one of the following industries: Semiconductor, solar, battery, electronics, or automotive.</li> <li>Basic computer skills. </li> </ul><p><strong>Physical Demands &amp; Work Location: </strong></p><ul> <li>Fremont, CA: This is an on-site job.
