Outbound Sales Consultant

As a Solar Sales Consultant, you are the face of Brooklyn SolarWorks in our community. You are the expert that guides homeowners through the exciting, and seemingly complex journey, to going solar. You are comfortable presenting complex topics in an easy-to-understand way for our clients. You are a pro at all things solar in NYC, and project warmth and integrity in all customer interactions. The rapport you build with our customers will help you build a referral network of friends and neighbors, through which you will increase your sales volume and continue to spread clean energy throughout the city. Responsibilities: <ul> <li> Complete daily phone and in-person consultations. </li> <li> Gather information to accurately identify your customer’s solar needs. </li> <li> Prepare and share quotes with our customers. </li> <li> Satisfying all customer questions and concerns about their potential solar installation. </li> <li> Prepare loan applications for customer completion. </li> <li> Generate and share contracts. </li> <li> Signing new customers up for installation - and passing the project along to our permitting team. </li> <li> Generate referral business. </li> <li> Attending company meetings and events. </li> <li> Providing customers with quotes and tax credit information. </li> </ul> <ul> <li> Providing after-sales service including courtesy calls and site visits. </li> <li> Carry out additional duties as required by the Manager. </li> </ul> Required Skill Set: <ul> <li> At least (1) one year of sales consultant experience. </li> <li> Valid NYS Driver’s license. </li> <li> A clean driving record is required. </li> <li> Excellent interpersonal skills. </li> <li> Friendly disposition. </li> <li> Ability to relate technical information in easy-to-understand terms. </li> <li> Ability to travel around the city and work irregular hours. </li> <li> Marketing strategies and consumer psychology experience. </li> <li> Strong computer skills (Google suite etc). </li> <li> Ability to work independently and under moderate supervision. </li> <li> Strong Relation-building skills. </li> <li> Prior sales in a B2C environment. </li> <li> Technical sales experience. </li> <li> Referral business experience. </li> </ul> Preferred Skill Set: <ul> <li> Bi-lingual (spanish). </li> <li> Prior solar sales experience is strongly recommended. </li> <li> Knowledge of industry trends. </li> <li> A passion for Brooklyn SolarWork’s mission. </li> </ul> Benefits/Compensation: <ul> <li> Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year, On Target Earnings (OTE) is $80k- $120k+ annually (commission) </li> <li> (Free options are available) Health (HSA), Vision, Dental and Life Insurance </li> <li> 401k (Traditional &amp; Roth) retirement plan + 4% tiered company matching. </li> <li> Transportation perks/benefits </li> <li> Paid Time Off + Sick Days </li> <li> 11 Company Holidays </li> <li> Quarterly Profit-sharing Bonus </li> <li> Free Employee Assistance Program </li> <li> Monthly Commuter Travel Benefits (MTA Metrocards) </li> <li> Occasional Company provided snacks and lunches </li> <li> Additional Voluntary Benefits. .. i.e. HSA, FSA, Pet insurance, STD, LTD etc… </li> </ul> How to Apply: Interested applicants must provide a resume to be considered.
