We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in mechanical engineering or a related field to support various projects across our EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) and R&amp;D teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for combining robust 3D CAD skills with a practical, field- oriented approach- comfortable not only designing on a screen but also assembling and iterating on physical systems. This role involves working on first-of-a-kind R&amp;D prototypes and pilot skids, including mechanical assembly, tubing runs (Swagelok or equivalent), and system integration. <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul> <li>Produce detailed 3D CAD models and mechanical drawings for systems, test stands, and both pilot- and large-scale builds. </li> <li>Support the R&amp;D team by developing CAD models and fabrication-ready designs for first-of-a-kind concepts. </li> <li>Design and lay out piping, tubing, and mechanical components, ensuring performance, maintainability, and compliance. </li> <li> Assemble, test, and troubleshoot R&amp;D and pilot skid systems in the field, including tubing fabrication (e.g., Swagelok) and hardware integration. </li> <li> Optimise system layouts, piping runs, and mechanical component placement to maximise performance, maintainability, and regulatory compliance. </li> <li> Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and suppliers to maintain clean, organised CAD files and documentation. </li> <li> Liaise with vendors and manufacturers to ensure feasibility, cost-efficiency, and manufacturability of designs.</li> </ul>Requirements<ul> <li> Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. </li> <li> 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, CAD modelling, and manufacturing support. </li> <li> Proficient in SolidWorks, Onshape, or equivalent CAD tools. </li> <li> Strong understanding of GD&amp;T, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Design for Assembly (DFA). </li> <li> Comfortable with field work, including mechanical assembly, tubing bending, and on-site troubleshooting.</li> <li> Strong understanding of mechanical systems, piping layouts, structural supports, and equipment mounting.</li> <li> Solid grasp of mechanical systems, engineering design principles, and ISO standards. </li> <li> Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills, clear communication, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. </li> </ul><h3>Bonus</h3><ul> <li> Hands-on experience working with external suppliers and manufacturers. </li> <li> Exposure to pilot-scale process systems or test stands. </li> <li> Familiarity with piping design and fluid system layouts. </li> <li> Knowledge of FEA tools or mechanical simulation techniques. </li> <li> Background in scaling R&amp;D concepts to production-grade systems.</li> </ul>Benefits<ul> <li>Competitive Salary </li> <li> Paid annual leave </li> <li> Supportive and collaborative engineering environment </li> <li> Opportunities to work on cutting-edge systems and innovative technology</li> </ul>
