What you will doAs an Engineering &amp; Maintenance Manager you will develop and implement the engineering and maintenance strategies to improve quality, production and reduce downtime and cost for the plant. You will manage the engineering and maintenance functions in the battery components manufacturing processes covering manufacturing in our Formation and Shipping areas, as well as some support equipment.  The manufacturing engineers and maintenance technicians are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operations of all the equipment utilized in the manufacturing process. How you will do it:<ul><li>Support and develop department or maintenance projects / activities with good engineering direction. Take part or facilitate the team Lean strategies and methodologies and/or Six Sigma activities.</li><li>TPM Implementation.</li><li>Develop, support, cost estimate, deliver and document all engineering changes.</li><li>Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, process &amp; systems. Implement interim processes as required to correct or contain all non-conformance.</li><li>Direct and provide hands on manufacturing engineering support to operations.</li><li>Champion training of manufacturing engineering personnel on new processes.</li></ul>What we look forRequired<ul><li>BSEE/BSME or related engineering bachelor level degree from accredited college or university.</li><li>Working technical knowledge of manufacturing/mechanical processes and equipment with robotics and assembly.</li><li>TPM and Reliability Experience.</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>8 or more years’ experience in manufacturing environment or a related role.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an engineering leadership role within a manufacturing environment</li><li>Working knowledge and experience w/ PLC programming.</li><li>Green Belt and/or Black Belt certification.</li></ul>What we do hereOur Florence, South Carolina distribution center charges, packages, and ships the batteries used in cars, boats, and motorcycles.
