Job Description:About the RoleWe’re looking for a hands-on and driven NPI Test Engineer to join our dynamic team as we develop and scale next-generation products for high-volume manufacturing. This role is critical in bridging the gap between engineering development and factory deployment, ensuring a smooth and reliable ramp of new products.You’ll play a key part in developing test systems, setting up factory test lines, and working with cross-functional teams across the globe. If you're passionate about test automation, continuous improvement, and working on cutting-edge technology, we’d love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Hands-on testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems at both component and system levels.</li><li>Automate recurring processes to improve efficiency and reliability in daily work.</li><li>Set up and configure factory test lines, networking, and data collection/reporting systems at global sites.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams from different cultures and regions to deliver high-quality manufacturing test solutions.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing current processes, identifying gaps, and implementing optimization strategies.</li><li>Work closely with Software and Hardware Engineering teams to quickly identify and resolve issues.</li><li>Support onsite bring-up of test systems at Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs).</li><li>Up to 10% (Asia, Mexico, or other manufacturing sites)</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Master’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical discipline.</li><li>3+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or test development.</li><li>NI LabView and TestStand development experience for high-volume manufacturing environments.</li><li>Proficiency in at least one mainstream programming language: C#, Python, or C++.</li><li>Experience in electronics manufacturing and familiarity with test documentation and complex system design.</li><li>High-voltage test and manufacturing experience.</li><li>Ability to read schematics, identify test point requirements, and perform Design for Test (DFT) analysis.</li><li>Experience working with global operations teams, particularly with CMs/ODMs in Asia or Mexico.</li><li>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>5+ years of manufacturing/test development experience.</li><li>Experience with Quality Management tools and methodologies: PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, QRQC.</li><li>Clear and consistent communication to management on status updates, issue resolution, improvement initiatives, and process recommendations.</li></ul>Pay Range (Applicable to California)$160,000.00 - $180,000.00 dependent on level of experienceWhy Join Nextracker: 🚀 Innovative Environment: Be part of a team that's at the forefront of revolutionizing solar energy technology.
