This position will be primarily responsible for leading a team to provide production floor support and process improvement for the machining of complex, tight tolerance components utilizing CNC controlled lathes, mills, and grinding equipment. Additional responsibilities include the procurement of new equipment to support capacity uplifts, cost reductions, and new programs as well as quoting of new business. This position sets the strategy and KPI’s for the team including monthly forecast and yearly budget planning for the areas they are responsible for. Works with team to plan and conduct work requiring judgment in independent evaluations, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. This requires devising new approaches to problems encountered.
