<div><span style="font-size:16px;">The Supplier Quality Engineer will play a key role in ensuring world-class performance of the Zoox prototype and production supply base, and drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, driven, energetic, detailed, and team-oriented.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">Candidates with experience in Automotive Chassis Suspension system (conventional or Air) and familiar with parts such as - jounce bumpers, shocks, leaf &amp; coil springs, pressure regulated valves, actuators, suspension lines and further having a good understanding of mfg processes such as - Cleaning, Tube bending, seamless tubes, forming, welding, general machining will be be highly preferred.</span></div><br><br><h3>In this role, you will: </h3><ul><li>Partner with engineering and sourcing teams to choose the right suppliers based on manufacturing capabilities</li><li>Collaborate with suppliers on design reviews to ensure parts are manufacturable and explore new production techniques when needed.</li><li>Lead the supplier industrialization process from design through production ramp-up.</li><li>Support suppliers with tooling, equipment, and process qualifications.</li><li>Assess supplier readiness for vehicle builds and help manage production risk.</li><li>Drive the APQP process and support PPAP through the start of production.</li><li>Train suppliers on our quality systems and review part quality documentation.</li><li>Lead root cause and corrective action efforts for any supplier quality issues.</li><li>Monitor and report supplier quality metrics to ensure ongoing improvement.</li><li>Use lean and quality tools to drive continuous improvement across the supply base</li><li>Be ready for up to 40% domestic and international travel, sometimes on short notice.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or a related engineering field.</li><li>6+ years of experience in quality, supplier quality, or manufacturing—ideally in automotive, aerospace, or medical devices.</li><li>Hands-on experience launching new products and improving quality systems.</li><li>Skilled in problem-solving methods like Six Sigma, 8D, and root cause analysis.</li><li>Familiar with key quality tools: FMEAs, control plans, SPC, MSA, and capability studies.</li><li>Understanding of manufacturing processes like injection molding, stamping, and electromechanical assembly.</li><li>Strong experience with supplier audits, APQP, PPAP, and production ramp-ups.</li><li>Comfortable reading engineering drawings and using GD&amp;T; Knowledge of ISO 9000 and IATF 16949 quality systems</li></ul><h3>Bonus Qualifications </h3><ul><li>Certifications like CQE, Six Sigma Green Belt, or Quality Auditor.</li><li>Experience with tooling and fixture validation is a plus.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office; Google Workspace experience is a plus.</li></ul><br><div><b>About Zoox</b></div><div>Zoox is developing the first ground-up, fully autonomous vehicle fleet and the supporting ecosystem required to bring this technology to market.
