Job Title:Assistant Manager – People &amp; Culture (HR Operations)Location:Gurgaon (GGN)Department:People &amp; Culture (Human Resources)Reporting To:Manager – People &amp; Culture / HR HeadPosition Summary:The Assistant Manager – People &amp; Culture (HR Operations) will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day HR operations and ensuring seamless HR processes across the employee life cycle. The role will support strategic HR initiatives, maintain compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements, and foster a positive work environment aligned with organizational values.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Manage end-to-end employee life cycle processes including onboarding, induction, employee record management, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and exit formalities.</li><li>Ensure timely and accurate HR operational deliverables (employment letters, confirmations, transfers, etc.).</li><li>Oversee HRIS management and maintain updated employee records.</li><li>Coordinate with finance and payroll teams for monthly inputs and ensure smooth salary processing.</li><li>Support compliance activities including labor laws, POSH, internal audits, and HR policies.</li><li>Handle employee queries related to HR operations and provide effective resolutions.</li><li>Support in implementing employee engagement initiatives and wellness programs.</li><li>Assist in HR data reporting, HR metrics tracking, and MIS preparation.</li><li>Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems, processes, and employee experience.</li><li>Act as a bridge between the HR team and employees to uphold organizational culture and values.</li></ul>Desired Skills and Competencies:<ul><li>Strong understanding of core HR operations and local labor laws.</li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.</li><li>Proficient in HR systems (HRIS), MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with diverse teams.</li><li>Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.</li></ul>Qualifications and Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.</li><li>MBA or PG Diploma in HR (preferred).</li><li>6 years of relevant experience in HR operations, preferably in a mid to large-sized organization.</li></ul>Work Conditions:<ul><li>Full-time position based at the Gurgaon office.</li><li>Willingness to support occasional travel or extended hours during critical HR cycles (e.g., audits, payroll closing, onboarding seasons).</li></ul>At Surbana Jurong, we put talent, hard work, teamwork and a fun workplace together to approach problems and solve them creatively and collaboratively.
