Are you ready to jump onboard? We are now looking for a  CNC Milling Machinist - Late Shift to join our team working for a better future.  The preferred location for the position is in Havant, UK.  What you will be doing  You will work during the following shift pattern: Mon    14:30   to  22:30 ½ hour lunchTues   14:30   to  22:30 ½ hour lunchWed    14:30   to  22:30  ½ hour lunchThurs  14:30   to  22:30   ½ hour lunchFri       12:30 to  20:00  As CNC Milling Machinist, your work will focus on these responsibilities:  <ul><li>Clear communications and hands on approach with a strong work ethic</li><li>Drive improvements as part of continuous improvement culture</li><li>Working in a safe manner in line with the companies Health and Safety policy</li><li>Maintain working area to a good standard as part of 5S implementation</li><li>Ensure quality is maintained and follow processes for area are correctly implemented to company standards</li><li>Carry out tasks in accordance with set process times to meet deadline.</li><li>Have a flexible approach and at times move onto other disciplines within skill set</li><li>Help with skills flex training and cross train others when required. </li></ul> To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:  <ul><li>Ideally Apprentice served</li><li>Heidenhain Programming </li><li>Familiar with Turning and Milling techniques</li><li>Experience with handling of composite materials is an advantage</li><li>Understand Health&amp; Safety environment/procedures</li><li>Read and understand Engineering drawings </li><li>Good communicator with all levels of business (written &amp; verbal)</li><li>Education:<ul><li>GCSE/O Level or equivalent.</li><li>Apprentice served </li></ul></li><li>Experience:<ul><li>5 years (min) Engineering experience within the manufacturing industry</li><li>5 years (min) CNC Programming knowledge (Heidenhain)</li><li>Modern Tool Cutting knowledge</li><li>Experience working with castings and various metals - Inconel/Aluminium bronze/Cast Iron/Duplex/stainless steel</li><li>CI experience (Lean 7 wastes) Safety / 5S </li><li>Computer Literate (Microsoft) </li></ul></li></ul> Why you and us? We at Wärtsilä believe in empowerment, ownership and taking responsibility of our work.
