We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service.<h2>Overview</h2><p>We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Composite Material Cutting Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for performing material cutting operations to support production. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated experience in pre-preg cutting, ply orientation and material handling, but not required. Additionally, proficiency in inventory tracking, understanding of cutting/ nesting software, and strong organization are necessary for this role. </p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Pull raw materials from freezer containers  </li> <li>Track material cure by dates and out-life time  </li> <li>Ensure manufacturing work instructions are completed  </li> <li>Ability to cut, sort, and kit material efficiently </li> <li>Standard use of computers for job nesting, part ID printing, and operation of material cutting machines. </li> <li>Able to verbally communicate, read and comprehend written and verbal instructions. </li></ul><h2>Required</h2><ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. </li> <li>Work Hours is Monday- Friday 4:30pm-2:30am</li> <li>Reliable, punctual and has dependable transportation. </li> <li>Ability to follow safe work practices. </li> <li>Strong attention to detail and precision. </li> <li>Good organization skills  </li> <li>Effectively work as part of a team. </li> <li>Strong commitment to quality standards and procedures. </li> <li>2+ years of experience in relevant industry or process. </li> <li>Able to lift assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs. </li> <li>Able to become certified to wear a respirator. </li> <li>Maintain work area in a neat, orderly, and organized manner. </li></ul><ul> <li>Have no known allergies to epoxies or other composites materials. </li></ul><h2>Desired</h2><p> </p><ul> <li>2+ years of CNC or material cutting machine operating experience </li></ul><p>Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $22-$30/hour.
