You’ve led distributed teams, supported engineers across levels of experience, and understand how to balance startup urgency with long-term sustainability. You're motivated by helping others grow &amp; succeed, and by solving problems that make us a company that stands apart.<h3>What You’ll Be Doing</h3><ul><li>People Management<ul><li>Directly manage ~10 engineers across backend, frontend, and full-stack.</li><li>Hold 1:1s, lead performance reviews and goal setting.</li><li>Ensure the team understands expectations and is consistently meeting them.</li><li>Give timely, thoughtful feedback and help team members grow in their careers.</li></ul></li><li>Engineering Efficiency<ul><li>Identify bottlenecks and recurring friction in the development lifecycle.</li><li>Implement lightweight processes or workflows that improve velocity without introducing unnecessary overhead.</li><li>Contribute to refining our SDLC and improving our “engineering machine.”</li></ul></li><li>Software Costs &amp; Quality<ul><li>Lead our initiative to track and manage software costs by product, environment, and region.</li><li>Help create engineering guidelines that prioritize cost-effectiveness, resilience, and long-term maintainability.</li></ul></li><li>Collaboration &amp; Leadership<ul><li>Work closely with the Director of Engineering on roadmap planning, staffing, and strategy.</li><li>Communicate proactively and clearly across teams.</li><li>Create a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and fun.</li></ul></li></ul><h3>What You’ll Bring to the Role</h3><ul><li>Substantial experience managing engineers in a hybrid or remote-first organization.</li><li>Strong engineering foundation — ideally with prior experience as a senior/staff-level IC.</li><li>Startup or growth-stage company experience.</li><li>Proven track record of helping engineers grow, and leading teams to deliver reliably and at high quality.</li><li>Clear communication and excellent collaboration.</li><li>High energy, high empathy, high standards.</li></ul>Compensation Range: $200,000–$225,000 + equity + bonus. Plus health benefits and PTO
