Our fire-safe systems provide a permanent energy supply to replace traditional utility lines.&nbsp; We work with community groups and public utilities to ensure everyone has access to safe, clean, reliable energy.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;About the Role:&nbsp;&nbsp;The Project Manager’s primary responsibility is to take projects from the point of contract signing to the point of contract completion. The Project Manager will interface with BoxPower’s internal technical teams, external/subcontracted engineers, external/subcontracted contractors and installers, technical customers, and non-technical customers to turn signed contracts to completed contracts.&nbsp;This role reports to Director of Projects. This role has no immediate direct reports. The salary range for this role is $90,000-$120,000 per year depending on experience and extended responsibilities. This role can be performed remotely, hybrid or in-person role at BoxPower HQ in Grass Valley, CA with travel expectations to-site or Grass Valley HQ as required.&nbsp; &nbsp; Responsibilities:&nbsp;<ul><li>Manage non-technical project activities, including:&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Budgeting, including accounting of all project costs and actions to keep project costs on-budget or under budget.&nbsp;</li><li>Managing gross profit margin for each project ensuring timely change orders and cost down efforts.</li></ul><ul><li>Scheduling, including forward-looking scheduling of all project activities and actions to keep project costs on-schedule or ahead-of-schedule.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Managing deliverables, including coordination, quality control (self-performed or delegated) and submission of technical and non-technical deliverables being submitted to project stakeholders.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Permitting, including planning, environmental, civil, NEPA, CEQA, AQMD, Fire.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Managing contractual progress and filing for Change Orders when necessary.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Tracking on-site work progress to stay on schedule and stay ahead of Change Orders from subcontractors. &nbsp;</li><li>Managing CNI and utilities scale projects. </li></ul><ul><li>Manage the relationship and communication with the customer, including:&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Scheduling meetings with relevant stakeholders to solve project problems.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Communicating and negotiating change orders with the customer.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Communicating and justifying changes to budget, schedule, work plan, etc. to customer.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Incorporating customer feedback into the project, when appropriate.&nbsp; &nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Manage the relationships and communications with various subcontractors, including:&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Managing contracting and execution of subcontracted work.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Working with other BoxPower personnel to create contracts for subcontractors.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Resolving changes, issues, and work defects between subcontractor, BoxPower stakeholders, and other external stakeholders&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Manage payments to subcontractors.&nbsp; </li></ul><ul><li>Manage project-specific communications between internal BoxPower stakeholders, including Project Engineering, Product Engineering, Business Development, Field Services.&nbsp; </li></ul><ul><li>Support process creation activities, including:&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Creating templates and trackers for project activities.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Providing input to the operations department on what templates and tools would improve efficiency.&nbsp;</li></ul> &nbsp;Skills and Qualifications:&nbsp;<ul><li>Minimum 3&nbsp;years of experience in managing projects from contracting to commissioning.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Utility project experience a plus.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>MS Word, MS Excel, MS Projects expertise&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of NetSuite and experience with the application.</li></ul><ul><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Strong Construction estimating background</li><li>Construction Management experience&nbsp; &nbsp;</li></ul> &nbsp;Educational Background and Experience:&nbsp;&nbsp;<ul><li>A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) is a plus.</li></ul> &nbsp;Working at BoxPower:&nbsp;&nbsp;BoxPower is a dynamic start-up entering its 8th year of operations, located in beautiful Grass Valley, California.
