<p>Are you an Embedded Systems, Controls Engineer or an Electronics Engineer with a controls and firmware background in electric vehicles, batteries or energy storage?</p><p>This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing London based start-up that is creating an all-new range of battery storage systems for both commercial and consumer markets. You will be responsible for developing and managing our embedded systems. You will design and develop complex platform software (low level and middleware) for control systems.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Implement and maintain software for microcontrollers, and Linux embedded systems</li><li>Develop a software integration process, debugging, software maintenance, and version management.</li><li>Managing the requirements of embedded projects, ensuring reliability and compatibility across our product line</li><li>Integrating advanced battery estimation and control algorithms in diverse hardware platforms.</li><li>Supporting the development of new battery state estimation and control methods</li><li>Optimise firmware for maximum performance, reliability and efficiency</li><li>Design and development of firmware related to custom battery packs</li><li>Control of battery management and protection circuits</li><li>Developing complex driver, OTA, and other functions as needed</li><li>Supporting Battery Engineers in development of the product designs</li><li>Develop product validation test programs to ensure robustness of design</li><li>Develop the software development lifecycle</li><li>Work in a multi-disciplinary research, development, and engineering environment</li></ul>
