Our record USD 4.6 billion order backlog and strong book-to-bill ratio reflect long-term confidence in our mission and solutions.Join us at Landis+Gyr, where we manage energy better!  The right incumbent will be responsible for Transportation (Inbound/Outbound) and Materials / Finished Goods Warehousing and will drive the successful achievement of all relevant KPIs:<ul><li>Transportation Cost</li><li>Warehousing Cost</li><li>Efficiency</li><li>OTIF</li></ul> Key Areas of Responsibility<ul><li>Responsible for Warehousing of Materials &amp; Finished Goods (People / Rules / Practices / Inventory).</li><li>Responsible for Production Lines Feeding in line with Lean Principles. </li><li>Responsible for Transportation (Tenders with Forwarders / Cost Control) &amp; Distribution.</li><li>In close relationship with Purchasing / Planning / Customs / Finance / Customers.</li><li>Complies with local law regulations, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; advising management on needed actions.</li><li>Creates a safe working environment for employees by putting in place safety measures to prevent accident and complications that may arise during work. </li><li>Prepares Operating / Capital Spending Budget for the Department &amp; follows up execution. </li></ul>  Required Skills<ul><li>University degree.</li><li>Post graduate studies will be considered a plus.</li><li>Fluency in English written and spoken.</li><li>3 years of Supply Chain working experience at Managerial Positions.</li><li>Experience in conducting business in an international organization.</li><li>Leadership and management experience.</li><li>Organizational and Planning skills.</li><li>Numerical and IT skills.</li><li>Logistics planning.</li><li>Risk analysis.</li><li>Problem solving and decision making.</li><li>Result orientation.</li><li>Negotiation skills.  </li></ul> We value and encourage diversity in our team.
