Under general supervision, this position is responsible to ensure compliance with FAA regulations for Part 145 repair shop by inspecting, testing, troubleshooting and repairing equipment used on aircraft.Key Functions<ul><li>Accurately troubleshooting faults in electronic circuits and mechanical systems using various types of test equipment e.g., Special Test Equipment "STE", Automated Test Equipment "ATE", data analyzers, microprocessors emulators, circuit testers, oscilloscopes, and multi-meters</li><li>Perform maintenance, preventative maintenance and modifications to avionics equipment.</li><li>Perform preliminary analyses, alignments, light to moderate troubleshooting, repair, and testing of electronics at a level that meets or exceeds the expected productivity.</li><li>Comply with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, ISO procedures, and Teledyne Controls policies and procedures.</li><li>Inspects all assigned maintenance articles being worked and replacement materials for defects and proper identification.</li><li>Perform repair rework using solder equipment to acceptable IPC J-STD specifications as needed.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year of accredited school in aviation electronics or related field of study and a minimum of 2-5 years of Electronic Technician experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li> Mandate to participate in the FAA Anti-Drug and Alcohol testing in compliance with 49 CFR part 40 and 14 CFR part 120.</li><li>Must be able to troubleshoot to board/component level analog/digital with some assistance.</li><li>Must be able to read and interpret production illustrations (PI), component maintenance manual (CMM), wiring diagrams and schematics.</li><li>Read, Speak, Write and understand the English language (FAA requirement)</li><li>Must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).</li></ul>  ​Preferred<ul><li>Recent IPC-J-STD-001 soldering preferred.</li><li>Understanding of the FAA regulations preferred</li></ul>This is an FAA Safety Sensitive position which requires new hires under this program to pass a pre-employment FAA Drug screening.  Employees under this program will be subject to random FAA Drug and Alcohol testing throughout their employment at Teledyne Controls.    Salary Range: $37,200.00-$49,600.000Pay TransparencyThe anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
