This role is pivotal in supporting BGB’s cost control, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction through effectiveasset lifecycle management and collaboration across teams within Centrica.Location - Any Centrica UK site with flexible HomeworkingKey Accountabilities<ul><li>Maintain robust forecasting models for metering asset requirements based on customer demand, regulatory obligations, metering partner installation performance and business growth ambitions.</li><li>Collaborate with procurement, CSMA, and third-party teams to ensure timely availability of metering stock.</li><li>Work closely with, BGB Business Excellence, BGB Metering partner management and third-party installers to optimise deployment efficiency and minimise asset wastage.</li><li>Implement performance dashboards and KPIs to monitor installation progress and quality; sharing risks and issues with both leadership and partners.</li><li>Lead the governance and assurance of SMART (SMETS) meter commissioning processes.</li><li>Ensure compliance with DCC, SEC, and regulatory frameworks.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement in commissioning success rates and fault resolution.</li><li>Own the end-to-end process for validating and approving metering-related invoices, including installation, maintenance, and asset rental charges.</li><li>Collaborate with finance and commercial teams to ensure accurate accruals and budget forecasting.</li><li>Act as the senior point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, suppliers, and industry forums.</li></ul>Required Knowledge, Skills &amp; Experience<ul><li>Excellent stakeholder influencing and management skills at all levels,</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage complex operational processes.</li><li>Experience leading the teams who; conduct process delivery analysis, and the forecasting of delivery based upon trend analysis.</li><li>It is desirable that the role holder has strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and drive data-informed decisions, as well as financial reconciliation.</li><li>Ability to step back and understand the wider business context and priorities.</li><li>An experienced leader (of partners, process or people) in the utilities industry.</li><li>Strong understanding of metering and Industry processes; specifically, SMETs and DCC Operations, as well as associated industry codes.</li><li>Experience of working with and managing Metering Equipment Managers (MOP’s &amp; MAMs)</li></ul>Key Competencies/Core Capabilities required to perform the role<ul><li>Effective and inclusive collaboration</li><li>Delivery through delegation and leadership</li><li>Ability to hold challenging discussions regarding performance professionally</li><li>Capability to drive outcomes aligned to strategic direction despite ambiguity</li><li>Strong planning and prioritisation skills</li><li>Aptitude to respond to challenges with agility</li><li>Resilience in the face of unexpected outcomes.</li></ul>Why should you apply?     We’re not a perfect place – but we’re a people place.
