<div>Delivering a successful robotaxi experience depends on the seamless integration of software, operations, services, and end-user interactions. Continuously testing this end-to-end system is a complex challenge—one that demands innovative engineering approaches and a broad range of skills and expertise.</div><div><br></div><div>As the Product Software Quality Assurance Manager, you will lead a high-performing team of Software Development Engineers in Test and Quality Assurance Engineers in designing and executing robust, continuous tests at a systems and applications level. Your role will require close cross-functional collaboration with developers, product managers, technical program managers, designers, and our project management office to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development process.</div><div><br></div><div>You'll help define success metrics and shape strategies for team growth and development. You will also bring hands-on technical proficiency, strong leadership, and a “shift-left” mindset—prioritizing quality from the earliest stages of the development lifecycle.</div><br><br><h3>In this role, you will: </h3><ul><li>Lead the technical strategy for quality and testing of Zoox’s Product Software Cloud services.</li><li>Define a clear vision for the team, set measurable goals, and develop a roadmap with success metrics.</li><li>Drive data-informed approaches to system testing by identifying gaps in current automation frameworks and proposing scalable, automated testing solutions.</li><li>Manage and mentor a team of highly skilled Software Development Engineers in Test and Quality Assurance Engineers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software in a fast-paced, two-week sprint cycle.</li><li>Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners—including the broader Quality Assurance organization, Technical Program Managers, and our Program Management Office—to ensure alignment and support Zoox’s end-to-end product vision.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field, with 10+ years of experience in software quality engineering, test automation, or development, including 5+ years focused on cloud-based application stacks.</li><li>A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role, with a track record of managing teams, driving project execution, balancing resources, and fostering team growth.</li><li>Strong proficiency in at least one high-level programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, C++, etc.).</li><li>Demonstrated experience integrating diverse test frameworks into cohesive, scalable system testing solutions.</li><li>Bring a strong quality assurance mindset and a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.</li></ul><h3>Bonus Qualificatons:</h3><ul><li>Experience in the autonomous vehicle (AV) industry or other safety-critical domains.</li><li>Proficiency in Kotlin, with hands-on experience in developing and maintaining codebases.</li><li>Strong background in designing and implementing mobile test automation frameworks and solutions.</li></ul><br><div><br></div>
