The Senior ICT/Communications Engineer will operate as a key member of the PMCM team, responsible for ensuring the successful design review, coordination, implementation, testing, and commissioning of all ICT, ELV, and communications systems in a high-end fit-out environment. The role involves close collaboration with the client’s IT/AV stakeholders to deliver operationally efficient, secure, and future-proof systems.Key Responsibilities:Design Review &amp; End-User Coordination<ul><li>Review ICT, structured cabling, and ELV system designs, ensuring alignment with end-user requirements, project specifications, and applicable international standards.</li><li>Engage with Qatar Airways’ IT, security, and AV teams to confirm scope, interface requirements, and operational integration of all communications systems.</li></ul>Engineering Review<ul><li>Review and comment on shop drawings, design calculations, interface layouts, riser diagrams, and coordination drawings for ICT and ELV systems including but not limited to:<ul><li>Structured cabling</li><li>Data &amp; voice networks</li><li>IP telephony</li><li>Public Address (PA)</li><li>Access Control, CCTV &amp; Security Systems</li><li>IPTV and SMATV</li><li>Audiovisual (AV) systems</li><li>Building Management System (BMS) integration</li></ul></li><li>Ensure spatial and technical coordination with MEP, architectural, and interior design elements.</li></ul>Material Submittals &amp; Prequalification<ul><li>Review and evaluate ICT system material submittals, datasheets, mockups, and pre-qualifications of vendors and subcontractors.</li><li>Verify compliance with project specifications and employer's ICT/AV standards.</li></ul>Construction Oversight<ul><li>Monitor on-site installation of ICT and ELV systems to ensure compliance with approved designs, workmanship standards, and safety protocols.</li><li>Proactively resolve technical conflicts and interface issues across trades.</li></ul>Testing, Commissioning &amp; Handover<ul><li>Supervise and validate testing, integration, and commissioning of ICT and communications systems.</li><li>Witness third-party testing, verify system performance, and support in preparing system handover documentation including test results, O&amp;M manuals, and training records.</li></ul>Authority Approvals &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Coordinate with regulatory and telecom authorities (e.g., QCD, MOI, Ashghal if applicable) for system registration, approvals, and inspections.</li></ul>
