AECOM is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our team in either the Greenville or Columbia office. This individual will serve as a leader within the team, overseeing multiple projects, managing key deliverables, and maintaining strong client relationships.Duties to Include:<ul><li>Receive general supervision from and assist senior inspector in the performance of their duties</li><li>Review, interpret and understand construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings</li><li>Monitor conformance to quality, performance, and specifications by performing inspection duties</li><li>Perform daily field inspections and maintain inspector's diaries detailing contractor's work</li><li>Perform field materials testing procedures</li><li>Complete daily contractor pay item measurements and calculations</li><li>Track quantities for monthly pay estimates</li><li>Work at heights, on ladders, and on aerial lifts as required</li><li>Work adjacent to live traffic, around water, and in adverse weather conditions</li><li>Demonstrate understanding of safety practices in the construction industry</li><li>Maintain a flexible schedule, as hours will be set according to the contractor's schedule and may include late hours</li><li>Coordinate with project managers and engineers to ensure timely completion of inspections</li><li>Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports to supervisors and clients</li><li>Identify potential issues or non-compliance and recommend corrective actions</li><li>Attend project meetings and provide updates on inspection findings</li><li>Stay updated on relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards</li></ul>
