We are looking for a Railways Junior Engineer with experience in railways geometric design, to join our ambitious and experienced Linear Infrastructures team. We are working on stages as early as feasibility studies up to detailed designs on a wide range of projects, either as standalone linear infrastructures team or as part of multidisciplinary teams. Our clients are from the private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our office has an established track record of successfully delivering railway designs for many years, throughout the USA and Australia not to mention Canada or Middle East. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team for the Europe Enterprise Capabilities Center (Poland/Spain).Here is what you will do:<ul><li>Ability to work productively in a collaborative team environment and demonstrate growth potential as well as a desire to learn.</li><li>Independently preparing design calculations or reports related to linear infrastructures (i.e. geometric design).</li><li>Support the design of railway projects (Freight, Metro, LRT, HSR, etc.) on a variety of tasks that goes from the geometric design, selection of switches and crossings, design of construction yards, track structure, etc. but also coordination with other disciplines (drainage, bridges, etc.).</li><li>Works collaboratively on international projects to support AECOM’s Home Offices.</li><li>Works on small projects or portions of larger projects supported by EC within established procedures and practices related to linear infrastructures.</li><li>Performs daily work under experienced or more senior engineer’s supervision</li><li>Can set standards and procedures for CAD works, but also template for 3D modelling.</li><li>Performs a self-check of work products prior to submitting to others and participates in quality control reviews of documentation originated by equally or less experienced staff.</li></ul>
