You will own the financial models, performance analytics, and reporting that drive strategic decisions for our growing multi-state solar portfolio. Leveraging advanced Excel skills, you will translate raw operating data into actionable insights for senior leadership, investors, and lenders—supporting everything from merchant-curve re-forecasts to refinancing analyses and M&amp;A diligence.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Modeling &amp; Capital Planning<ul><li>Maintain and enhance project-level and consolidated performance models for PPA, VNEM, and community-solar projects.</li><li>Update assumptions (production, energy pricing, O&amp;M, debt terms, tax equity) and quantify portfolio-wide sensitivities.</li><li>Build scenario analyses to support capital allocation, refinancing, and potential exits. </li></ul>Performance Analytics<ul><li>Develop automated Excel/Power Query dashboards to track actual vs. budgeted production, revenue, EBITDA, and cash distributions.</li><li>Identify key performance variances (irradiance, availability, curtailment, billing delays) and recommend corrective actions.</li></ul>Reporting &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Prepare clear and concise monthly investor and internal performance reports that inform strategic decision-making. </li><li>Support annual audits, third-party engineering reports, and lender inquiries.</li></ul>Data Management &amp; Process Improvement<ul><li>Integrate billing and accounting data into a centralized repository; partner with IT to ensure data integrity and quality.</li><li>Define KPIs to monitor asset health and portfolio risk.</li><li>Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline reporting and analytics. </li></ul>Transaction &amp; Diligence Support<ul><li>Support M&amp;A diligence, investor reporting, lender requests, and third-party audits/engineering reviews.</li><li>Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights that shape strategic growth initiatives. </li></ul>QualificationsEducation<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, or a related field. MBA, CFA, or CPA is a plus. </li></ul>Experience<ul><li>2–4 years in renewable-energy finance, asset management, project finance banking, or a related field.</li><li>Hands-on experience with operating solar (C&amp;I, community, or utility-scale) portfolios. </li></ul>Technical Skills<ul><li>Advanced Excel &amp; VBA (nested formulas, array functions, macros, Power Query).</li><li>Proficiency with financial statements, PV Syst or PV modeling outputs, and debt/tax-equity structures.</li><li>Experience with ERP/CRM systems (NetSuite, Salesforce) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) a plus. </li></ul>Soft Skills<ul><li>Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.</li><li>Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, concise narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.</li><li>Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.</li></ul>
