We invest in our people for the long term and are committed to supporting their development at every stage of their career.The Legal Entity Controller (“LEC”) Associate Director for Apollo Global Management (“AGM”) will be responsible for entity and department level accounting, including but not limited to strategic investments, journal entries, and monthly analytics to ensure accurate revenue, expense, balance sheet, and regulatory and statutory reporting for the management companies/advisory entities within AGM. This role will also support the LEC team on all reporting around Apollo Capital Solutions (“ACS”), including assisting with the organization and recognition of transactions on behalf of the Firm and its subsidiaries.Primary Responsibilities<ul><li>Coordinate with Deal Professionals, Accounting Policy, Senior Management, and other teams across Apollo on strategic investments to ensure proper accounting treatment and reporting.</li><li>Manage and administer a controlled and fluid iLevel reporting platform with strategic partners.</li><li>Facilitate monthly and quarterly ACS transaction fee and revenue share preparation and reporting; Manage and coordinate on the GAAP and Non-GAAP reporting requirements related to ACS revenue recognition and organization.</li><li>Continue to advance and improve workflow surrounding GAAP to Non-GAAP reconciliation and FRE exclusion with a focus on automating and streamlining processes.</li><li>Facilitate the communication and decision makings with Finance Compensation, and Strategic Incentive team on Strategic Investing related Compensation and Expenses across the AGM platforms to ensure complete and accurate recording, documentation, and financial statement disclosure.</li><li>Coordinate with Tax, Strategic Incentive, and Accounts Payable Team on tax related accounting and disclosure requirements on strategic investments.</li><li>Maintain a strong SOX controls environment and ensure proper documentation of our SOX control processes.</li><li>Coordinate with Corporate &amp; Finance Tech team on the development and maintenance of FFHO Fund cube and other Strategic Tech initiatives.</li><li>Prepare detailed Balance Sheet and Income Statement variance and fluctuation analysis in connection with monthly, quarterly, and annual internal reporting presentations.</li><li>Prepare and assist on the filings and audit of statutory Financial Statements.</li><li>Prepare ad hoc analysis and special projects as requested by Senior Management.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>Strong U.S. GAAP accounting expertise (CPA or CA preferred).</li><li>6-8 years of professional work experience (prior experience in Big 4 or a mix of Big 4/Private preferred).</li><li>Strong Financial Reporting background preferred.</li><li>Highly organized, strong work ethic, work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.</li><li>Capable of taking a process/task and “run with it” to conclusion is a critical characteristic of this role.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills as individual will collaborate with various internal departments (i.e., Fund Controllers, Accounting Policy, Portfolio Company, Deal Professionals, etc.).</li></ul>OUR PURPOSE AND CORE VALUESOur clients rely on our investment acumen to help secure their future.
