POSITION SUMMARYThe Mechanical Development Engineer (MDE) – Transfer Case Homeroom, will design and develop components for Drivetrain and Morse Systems (DMS) in support of new business opportunities, cost reductions and organic growth. You will interface with Mechanical Design Architects, and Application Engineering to determine component needs. Collaborating with the design department, potential suppliers, and internal customers, you will create innovative and cost-effective solutions to bring mechanical components to realization. Once the component concept is established, you will work alongside the design group to fully define the component and manage prototype procurement to develop working prototypes. You will ensure that the product meets minimum durability requirements in collaboration with the validation group.
