Aecom is hiring a Senior Structural Designer – Highways in our Burnaby or Kelowna office.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: <ul><li>Provide complete structural design package including drawings, quantities, contract documents and cost estimates.</li><li>Project manage structural design projects from planning through design and construction.</li><li>Lead proposals and teaming for structural design, assessment and inspections assignments.</li><li>Provide design reports including criteria, intent, constructability, and staging.</li><li>Lead and assist with the development of project scope, schedule, and budget alongside project manager and other team members.</li><li>Perform field reviews and/or coordinate site construction activities ensuring compliance with contract documents and design intents.</li><li>Develop project specific design specification and criteria including use of CAD and other software.</li><li>Organize and lead project meetings with client and public.</li><li>Assist with the preparation of regulatory requirements, permits, environmental assessments and stakeholder consultation.</li><li>Provide technical guidance and mentoring for junior staff.</li><li>Develop and train others in the field of CAD structural designs per provincial standards.</li><li>Prepare design and construction status reports for client and project teams.</li><li>Ability to lead a team of professionals, as well as liaise with clients and subconsultants.</li><li>Propose opportunities and assist with business development and highway engineering team building in BC.</li><li>Implement corporate policies related to quality management and sustainable legacies.</li><li>Supporting AECOM’s vision, values and key business development priorities.</li></ul> <ul></ul>
