AECOM Ottawa is actively seeking a Bridge Engineering Manager to spearhead the growth of our bridge engineering practice in the National Capital Region.This is a senior technical leadership role ideal for someone looking to take ownership of building a local bridge team while contributing to high-profile transportation infrastructure projects. A high level of initiative, leadership, and technical excellence is essential.We are seeking a Civil Engineer with a structural specialization in bridge design—including highway, rail, and pedestrian bridges, as well as retaining walls and, potentially, movable or complex bridge structures.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Lead and grow AECOM Ottawa’s bridge engineering presence, including business development, team mentoring, and project delivery</li><li>Provide technical direction and oversight on bridge projects from concept through detailed design and construction</li><li>Supervise and support junior engineers and technical staff</li><li>Develop structural designs, calculations, sketches, and working drawings</li><li>Conduct structural modeling and analysis using tools such as MIDAS Civil</li><li>Ensure quality assurance and control throughout project stages</li><li>Perform site visits and provide construction support, including inspections and field documentation</li><li>Manage data quality and project documentation</li><li>Support Project Managers in meeting scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives</li><li>Prepare technical reports and design documentation</li><li>Identify and address engineering issues proactively</li></ul>
