Epirus' flagship product, Leonidas, is a software-defined system built using intelligent power management techniques which allow power-hungry systems to do more with less.   Job Summary:  <h2>Responsibilities: </h2><ul><li>PCBA &amp; Harness Fabrication and Debug <ul><li>Oversee harness build processes including prototyping, testing, and validation </li></ul><ul><li>Assemble, inspect, and rework complex PCBAs including SMT and through-hole components per IPC-A-610/620 standards. </li></ul><ul><li>Fabricate, troubleshoot, and rework wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and interconnect systems. </li></ul><ul><li>Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs). </li></ul><ul><li>Review harness drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams using industry-standard tools (i.e. Solidworks and Altium) </li></ul><ul><li>Operate and maintain soldering stations, crimping tools, and cable testing equipment. </li></ul><ul><li>Lead improvement efforts (ie. implementing new tooling, processes, etc.) </li></ul>Prototype Development &amp; Testing <ul><li>Support engineering development builds, including rapid prototyping and first-article assemblies. </li></ul><ul><li>Perform functional and continuity testing of PCBAs, cables, and harnesses using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and specialized test fixtures. </li></ul><ul><li>Review manufacturing work instructions and provide redlines </li></ul>Design Feedback &amp; DFM <ul><li>Provide hands-on design-for-manufacturing (DFM) feedback to engineering during early development phases with rapid prototyping and feedback on design and manufacturing readiness </li></ul><ul><li>Participate in technical reviews and propose improvements in component layout, harness routing, and assembly processes. </li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with engineering and supply chain teams to ensure smooth and efficient execution of harness and electrical assembly manufacturing </li></ul>Documentation &amp; Quality Assurance <ul><li>Support quality as needed with inspection, dispositions, root cause analysis and testing </li></ul><ul><li>Maintain accurate build records, rework documentation, and inspection logs in accordance with aerospace quality standards (AS9100, ISO9001). </li></ul><ul><li>Ensure compliance with ESD safety protocols and workmanship standards (e.g., J-STD-001, NASA-STD-8739). </li></ul><ul><li>Contribute to the development of work instructions and process documentation. </li></ul>Mentorship &amp; Leadership <ul><li>Act as a technical mentor to engineers, technicians and suppliers. </li></ul></li></ul><h2> </h2><h2>Basic Qualifications:</h2><ul><li>Minimum 10+ years experience as a technician in defense, aerospace, or equivalent high‐reliability field </li></ul><ul><li>Strong knowledge of IPC-610, J-STD-100, and IPC-620 standards </li></ul><ul><li>Strong understanding of soldering techniques, harness manufacturing, tooling selection, wire prep, and shield termination </li></ul><h2>Preferred Skills and Experience:</h2><ul><li>Minimum 15+ years experience as a technician in defense, aerospace, or equivalent high‐reliability field </li></ul><ul><li>Certified in J-STD-100, IPC-620, and IPC-610 </li></ul><ul><li>Strong knowledge and experience in manufacturing, troubleshooting, rework and repair of PCBA’s </li><li>TS Clearance </li></ul>ITAR REQUIREMENTS: <ul><li>To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
