GFL Environmental is looking for a full-time Industrial Services Supervisor to help support our liquids operations in Kitchener, ON. The Supervisor will handle all aspects of day to day operations, by utilizing effective communication skills and time management to prioritize and optimize daily production. They will be required to lead and manage a crew of varying competencies and skills sets. Adhering to company policies and procedures, while maintaining all documentation as required.<p style="text-align:inherit;"><br><br> </p><div><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></div><ul><li>Provide assistance to customers/outside haulers while on site</li><li>Operation of all vehicles and equipment in a safe and proper manner</li><li>Conduct pre shift tailgates</li><li>Abide by rules and requirements while on customers or GFL property</li><li>Complete all necessary paperwork ex: daily log book, manifest, BOL’s, rinse out sheets</li><li>Manage and maintain various data management systems</li><li>Provide assistance in emergency spill response (E.R.) on and off site as required</li><li>Equipment checks daily/weekly/monthly, (Flex App)</li><li>Maintain P.P.E inventory</li><li>Minor maintenance on equipment as required</li><li>Help provide coaching and training to others</li><li>Ensure coordination with other departments and other shifts to clarify roles and responsibilities.</li><li>Manage employee complaints and concerns</li><li>Attend meetings and training as required</li><li>Oversite of employees to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures and work in a safe environment at all times</li><li>Participate in the development SOP's, job procedures and investigations</li><li>Ensure all sign off sheets and memos are completed.</li><li>Compliance with all regulatory requirements.</li><li><div>Shift work, will be required to work day shift, afternoon shift, night shift, weekends as required. The shifts are jobsite specific, and workload is service based</div></li></ul><div></div><div><b>Knowledge, Skills, Competencies:</b></div><ul><li>Confined space entry and rescue an asset</li><li>WHIMIS/TDGA/ REG 347</li><li>First Aid/CPR TRAINING</li><li>Experience and strong knowledge of tractor trailers, vacuum trucks, tankers and roll off trucks and forklifts</li><li><div>Experience and strong knowledge of industrial cleaning including but not limited to paint lines, WWTPs, steel mills, pulp and paper mills, chemical plants, mines, petroleum sites, and other industrial and automotive manufacturing facilities</div></li><li><div>Experience and strong knowledge of high-pressure blasting equipment such as 15000 psi and 40000 psi units and associated accessories</div></li><li>Demonstrates a safe operating record</li><li>No attendance or progressive discipline issues</li><li>Demonstrates competence handling all aspects of day to day operations</li><li>Shows effective communication skills, and industry knowledge to lead and manage a crew to job completion</li><li>Demonstrates effective communication skills to delegate daily assigned duties</li><li>2 years minimum in the waste industry with progressive responsibilities recommended.</li></ul><p></p><p>#GFLTALENT</p><p style="text-align:inherit;"><br><br> </p><p>We thank you for your interest.
