The role involves cost estimation, quantity surveying, budget monitoring, and ensuring effective cost control while maintaining quality standards. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project financial management and contribute to sustainable energy development.<ul><li>Prepare and review detailed cost estimates and quantity take-offs.</li><li>Monitor project budgets and track financial progress.</li><li>Evaluate and verify material quantities as per project requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with teams to ensure timely completion of tasks within budget.</li><li>Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards in cost-related activities.</li></ul>With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.Suitable applicants will have/be:<ul><li>Tertiary qualifications or a related discipline (e.g. B.Sc in Civil Engineering)</li><li>Minimum 07 years of experience in quantity surveying and cost estimation (hydropower experience is a plus).</li><li>Proficiency in project management and cost-control software.</li><li>Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team.</li></ul>SMEC is an equal opportunity employer.
