The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of IT risk management, audit processes, and control frameworks, with the ability to evaluate, assess, and enhance the effectiveness of IT controls across the organization.Main Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead and manage IT audits focused on J-SOX compliance, including the evaluation and testing of ITGC to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of IT systems and data.</li><li>Perform detailed IT risk assessments, focusing on key areas such as access controls, change management, IT operations, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity, ensuring alignment with both business objectives and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Assess and test IT systems and controls related to financial reporting processes, ensuring that controls over financial applications and infrastructure meet J-SOX criteria, including segregation of duties and system access controls.</li><li>Design and implement audit programs that evaluate the effectiveness of IT general controls, application controls, and security measures within the IT environment.</li><li>Collaborate with external auditors, internal stakeholders, and IT teams to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and support the execution of integrated audit plans.</li><li>Analyze and report findings related to deficiencies in IT controls, recommending practical solutions for remediation and improvement, and working closely with management to ensure timely corrective actions.</li><li>Maintain a strong knowledge of emerging trends and regulations in IT governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), advising on updates to internal policies and procedures to meet evolving compliance standards.</li><li>Provide strategic insights to senior management on key IT risks, control deficiencies, and the overall IT control environment, facilitating informed decision-making for risk mitigation.</li><li>Develop and lead training programs for the internal audit team, focusing on IT auditing standards, regulatory compliance, and technical skills development in relation to J-SOX and GITC.</li><li>Monitor ongoing compliance efforts and continuously assess the effectiveness of internal IT controls across the organization to prevent security breaches, operational inefficiencies, and non-compliance with applicable laws.</li></ul>Required Skills/ Knowledge:<ul><li>Master degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) or equivalent certifications are strongly preferred.</li><li>At least 6 years of experience in IT auditing, with substantial exposure to SOX/L.262 compliance and General IT Controls.</li><li>In-depth understanding of IT risk management, internal control frameworks (COBIT, COSO), and relevant regulatory compliance standards (e.g., SOX, J-SOX, L.262 GDPR).</li><li>Experience in performing audit testing and controls assessments within complex IT environments, including financial reporting applications, ERP systems, and cloud-based infrastructures.</li><li>Proficiency with audit software tools (e.g., ACL, IDEA) and familiarity with automated audit techniques and tools for data analysis and control testing (e.g., AuditBoard)</li><li>Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and their application within IT audits.</li><li>Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex IT risks and propose actionable solutions to improve the control environment.</li><li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.</li><li>Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and interacting with senior management.</li></ul>Location: Italy (Genoa or Naples), or UK (London) or Germany (Stuttgart).
