Lead schedule driven product development efforts. Support planning and daily management of schedule, cost, and performance requirements for assigned product development efforts. Technical Responsibilities<ul><li>Technical leadership in product development efforts.</li><li>Work as a core team member in a multi-disciplinary team including mechanical engineers, electronics engineers, optical designers, and physicists. </li><li>Lead the product development with regards to the laser and opto-mechanical design.</li><li>Apply technology expertise and experience to the design of products to pre-established product performance requirements.</li><li>Manage schedule for development efforts of new laser products or optimization of current products including experimental plan to support timely product release. </li><li>Perform and/or assist laboratory personnel in performing experimental testing and design verification testing during product development. </li><li>Provide technical review for critical suppliers of key processes or parts. </li><li>Support product design reviews and test verification reviews. </li><li>Formulate test methods, protocols, and manufacturing processes as well perform independent experiments to solve manufacturing issues.</li></ul>2. Other <ul><li>Perform other duties as required/assigned from time to time.  </li></ul>Education and Experience: <ul><li>BS, MS or PhD in physics or electronics engineering.</li><li>Minimum of five years, hands on laser design and development experience.
