<div>Job Type</div><div>Full-time</div>The Maintenance Mechanic performs equipment care, preventive and predictive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation tasks, following established procedures and with limited direction. Trains and mentor's others. Performs other leadership duties. Summary of Essential Job Functions<ul><li>Execute assigned routine equipment and facility care, preventive maintenance, and corrective work for equipment and facility.</li><li>Diagnose problems using appropriate testing equipment.</li><li>Troubleshoot, repair, install, and modify equipment as directed.</li><li>Follow established requirements for GMP, safety, and other procedures.</li><li>Respond to operator calls; take appropriate action and follow up.</li><li>Install new equipment and make major modifications when supplied with instructions.</li><li>Troubleshoot and repair all types of production equipment, systems, and controls.</li><li>Operate equipment in Maintenance Department.</li><li>Seek assistance from others as needed.</li><li>Support Maintenance Planner in developing job plans, to include materials, steps, duration, coordination, etc.</li><li>Assist in ensuring everything is on hand and ready when job is scheduled to begin.</li><li>Assist in administering the work order system, including prioritization, job close-out, history documentation, and other tasks.</li><li>Seek out and recommend equipment and process improvements.</li><li>Conduct on-the-job training.</li><li>Assist other technicians as needed.</li><li>Work with vendors and service suppliers regarding equipment parts and supplies.</li><li>Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.</li><li>Provide team leadership, directing the work of other maintenance personnel, as assigned.</li><li>Use human relations and leadership skills to solve non-complex employee relations problems and issues associated with cooperation, team building, job assignments, etc.</li></ul>RequirementsEducation and Experience:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>5+ years of applicable industrial maintenance experience</li><li>Knowledge equivalent to two-year Technical School courses in at least one trade plus journeyman level skills in at least 2 other trades</li><li>Knowledge of machinery fundamentals, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, compressors, switchgear, etc.</li><li>Detailed knowledge of general mechanical fundamentals, such as fits and tolerances.</li><li>Two-year industrial mechanical trade school training preferred.</li><li>eMaintenance experience preferred.</li><li>Moderate skill in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CMMS</li></ul>Skills and Capabilities:<ul><li>Ability to take and give verbal and written instructions.</li><li>Ability to understand and work from complex mechanical and electrical diagrams, drawings, schematics, specifications, and flow diagrams and interpret them to others.</li><li>Ability to complete work assignments correctly and deliver results, in an expeditious and professional manner.</li><li>Good reading, writing, math, and administrative skills</li><li>Moderate skill in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CMMS</li><li>Ability to work well independently.</li><li>Available and willing to work on-call, off shifts, and overtime, as required.</li></ul>Benefits:At PURIS, we’re proud to support our team with a comprehensive benefits package designed to help you thrive both personally and professionally.
