POSITION SUMMARY: The Logistics Coordinator II is responsible for the coordination and utilization of drivers, trucks, and containers to create capacity, maximize productivity and ensure prompt, courteous and efficient service to all customers. The incumbent will dispatch employees to calls as they are received, using information on daily factors such as driver loads, locations, and customer needs to balance cost and speed of response.PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul><li>Dispatches employees based on RISE and/or daily factors such as driver loads, locations, and customer need to balance cost and speed of response. Responds to same day changes or next day planning for the service needs of our customers to drive on-route efficiencies and improve route design by identifying patterns.</li><li>Prepares, or provides input on, daily roster to maximize capacity by ensuring productive use of all assets including assignment of personnel, equipment, and supplies. May maintain employee attendance records including call offs, vacations, and personal days. Reports performance issues or concerns to appropriate management for resolution.</li><li>Makes changes to daily route information in a more efficient, proactive, and real time way to increase route standardization, efficiency and accuracy.</li><li>Resolves route and/or response problems that arise while Trucks and Drivers are in transit. Ensures routes and customer needs are resolved.</li><li>Collects, interprets, and analyzes various types of logistics data including inventory, asset reliability, and other route data to make decisions that increase overall efficiency and accuracy.</li><li>Creates and sequences routes and resources that make operational sense and are efficient.
