Successful candidates will be generally outgoing, customer focused, and enjoy playing a key role in delivering quality software which meets the needs of the end users.Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>System design and assistance with proposals</li><li>On-site system commissioning</li><li>Facilitate project communication and reporting goal status to key stakeholders</li><li>Design functional specifications and coordinate software release plans</li><li>Design training materials and provide training classes</li><li>Quality assurance related to project deliverables</li><li>Work closely with customers to manage post installation support</li><li>Support for industry trade shows and demos</li><li>Travel required up to once to twice per month for one to two weeks – variable based on project and customer requirements</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Undergraduate degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science</li><li>Excellent computer and networking skills, specifically with Microsoft products</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Ability to be a team player with both internal and external members</li><li>Work effectively in a dynamic environment where priorities shift frequently</li><li>Software deployment and troubleshooting</li><li>Proactive and self-motivated</li><li>Ability to travel within Canada, the US, and across the globe including the Middle East</li><li>Applicants must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be considered for the role as they will be handing ITAR data and products.</li></ul>FLIR Systems strictly adheres to the rules and regulations for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Controlled Goods Products.
