This role ensures the centre runs safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, operational planning, and safety enforcement experience within a waste, recycling, or industrial environment.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Scheduling &amp; Staffing: Manage employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels; support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of team members.</li><li>Outgoing Waste Stream Management: Oversee and coordinate all outgoing waste and recycling streams to ensure efficient, timely, and compliant material movement.</li><li>Preventative Maintenance (PM) Scheduling: Coordinate scheduled maintenance for facility equipment; work closely with maintenance teams and vendors to ensure minimal downtime.</li><li>Site Safety &amp; Compliance Enforcement: Promote a culture of safety; conduct regular site inspections and ensure all safety protocols and regulatory requirements are being followed.</li><li>Facility Maintenance: Ensure the overall cleanliness, upkeep, and functionality of the site, including buildings, yard, and equipment.</li><li>Reporting &amp; Communication: Prepare operational reports and communicate regularly with upper management regarding site performance, issues, and opportunities.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>1-3 years of experience in waste management, industrial operations, or related field, with supervisory or management experience</li><li>Solid understanding of equipment maintenance schedules and waste stream logistics</li><li>Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills</li><li>Knowledge of occupational health &amp; safety regulations</li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Proficient in basic computer systems and reporting tools</li><li>Valid driver’s license; equipment operation experience is an asset</li></ul>Other advantages to working at GFL:<ul><li>A network of 20,000+ employees across North America</li><li>Diverse career pathways and internal growth opportunities</li><li>Increased sustainability of your community, through the <a href="https://gflenv.com/full-circle-project/">Full Circle Project</a></li><li>Activity in a publicly traded company (on NYSE &amp; TSX)</li></ul>#GFLTalent  We thank you for your interest.
