The Mechanical Engineer will take ownership of their projects to meet target deadlines while reporting regular updates to management.</li><li>Develop knowledge on all applicable customer and industry standards.</li><li>Support product Qualification activities as required.</li><li>Actively seek to gain detailed knowledge for all Teledyne Oil &amp; Gas products and technologies.</li><li>Proactively participate in the Product Engineering Team environment and follow the direction and leadership of senior staff.</li></ul>Education and Experience:<ul><li>BS degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline</li><li>Prefer some experience in a related industry</li><li>A strong engineering aptitude with hands-on capabilities</li></ul>Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:<ul><li>Understanding of general safety practices in high pressure, thermal, and electrical operational and test environments</li><li>Familiarity with basic temperature, pressure, electrical theory, mechanical stress/strain, optical insertion loss, back reflection, vibration &amp; shock requirements and measurement techniques</li><li>Basic comprehension of Fiber Optic and Electrical (power and communications) interconnectivity</li><li>Strong verbal &amp; written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to handle multiple tasks in fast paced environment.</li><li>Working knowledge of CAD/CAE (AutoCAD and SolidWorks preferred).</li><li>Working knowledge of MSOffice programs (Word, Project, Outlook, Excel, etc.).</li></ul>Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).************************What can Teledyne offer YOU?
