The ideal candidate will apply statistical mathematics and dimensional analysis to optimize vehicle design and manufacturing. This individual will be performing day to day, in-depth technical analysis. Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Responsible for the dimensional strategy of the vehicle </li></ul><ul><li>Oversee the full program cycle from concept to production launch in the automotive field. </li></ul><ul><li>Apply mathematical theories and techniques to solve practical problems in business, engineering, and manufacturing. </li></ul><ul><li>Ensure the accuracy and validity of data through rigorous analysis and testing. </li></ul><ul><li>Build up to vehicle level dimensional simulation models in a rigid and compliant. environment. </li></ul><ul><li>Correlate the simulation models with real world dimensional performance. </li></ul><ul><li>Lead and manage a team. </li></ul>  Qualifications: <ul><li>8+ years of direct experience in automotive geometric dimensioning and tolerancing with specific responsibilities in areas such as body structures, closures, chassis, and interior/exterior components. </li></ul><ul><li>3+ years of hands-on experience in automotive product data management (PDM), Catia, FT&amp;A, GD&amp;T, and CAD. </li></ul><ul><li>Experience with 3DCS, CATIA, Polyworks Dataloop, Minitab, and QDM. </li></ul><ul><li>5 + years performing statistical stack-up analysis and dimensional verification using SPC data. </li><li style="line-height:1;">Leading system-level measurement strategies, tolerance simulations, and process improvements across vehicle architectures.</li><li style="line-height:1;">Utilizing statistical process control (SPC), measurement systems analysis (MSA), and mathematical statistics to monitor and control manufacturing variation, improving product and process consistency and quality. </li><li style="line-height:1;">Applying principles of GD&amp;T and root cause analysis to identify and resolve dimensional issues. </li></ul><ul><li>Conducting variation analysis and root cause analysis by applying probability distributions, regression, and correlation analysis to identify and mitigate causes of dimensional non-conformances. </li></ul><ul><li>Utilizing mathematical models and statistical software (Minitab, Excel, BSAT, 3DCS) to guide quality decisions and dimensional strategy development. </li></ul><ul><li>Experience with metrology technologies, including CMM, scanning, and photogrammetry. </li></ul><ul><li>Proficiency using statistical methodologies such as Root-Sum-Squares and Root-Mean-Suares or Monte Carlo methods. </li></ul><ul><li>Experience using mathematic models to define datum strategies. </li></ul><ul><li style="line-height:1;">Using statistical analysis to estimate the probability distribution of deviations in each tolerance dimension, prior to manufacturing. </li></ul> Preferred Skills: <ul><li>Previous experience working with an OEM. </li></ul> Education requirements <ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, mathematics, physics or related discipline</li><li>Expert level GD&amp;T qualification</li></ul><div><div>By Submitting your application, you understand and agree that your personal data will be processed in accordance with our <a href="https://www.lucidmotors.com/s3fs-public/pdf/candidate-privacy-notice.pdf">Candidate Privacy Notice</a>.
