The position will support Ascend’s existing software product line that delivers financial insight to clean energy developers, investors, and operators. As a leader at Ascend, you will foster an environment of innovation and customer-focus while facilitating the product development process. This role will be focused on the core activities of SaaS product management, such as maintaining the strategic product roadmap, scoping features, prioritizing backlog, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver more value to our customers.       Job Responsibilities <ul><li>Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain the product roadmap and backlog     </li></ul><ul><li>Define requirements and design solutions for new features with analysts and UI designers     </li></ul><ul><li>Integrate with the engineering team to support product development and feature delivery     </li></ul><ul><li>Conduct backlog grooming and prioritization with existing product management team     </li></ul><ul><li>Take ownership of complex projects and be able to perform independent communications and research    </li></ul> Required Qualifications <ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.   </li></ul><ul><li>3+ years of professional experience in a relevant field (either product or energy)    </li></ul><ul><li>Possess strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail  </li></ul><ul><li>Experience managing complex projects and delivering results to customers    </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to distill complex ideas and translate them into terms relevant to disparate stakeholders, including engineers, designers, subject matter experts, and lay people    </li></ul><ul><li>Strong teamwork skills and work ethic    </li></ul><ul><li>Clear and succinct communication practices – verbal and written  </li></ul> Preferred Qualifications <ul><li>Expertise in product management – 5+ years     </li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with wholesale power markets, renewables development and trading     </li></ul><ul><li>Advanced optimization or forecast modeling capability, demonstrated either professionally or academically     </li></ul><ul><li>Experience with agile product development and associated tools    </li></ul> Compensation: $120,000 – $165,000          Negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
