Your mission We are looking for an experienced and proactive Data Protection Officer (DPO) to lead and oversee our data protection strategy and implementation across our European operations. <ul><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for all data protection and privacy matters across the European region.</li><li>Ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws.</li><li>Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies, procedures, and training programs.</li><li>Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate data privacy risks.</li><li>Advise on data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and monitor their performance.</li><li>Liaise with supervisory authorities and data subjects on data protection issues.</li><li>Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure data privacy compliance across all business units.</li><li>Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.</li><li>Support cross-border data transfer mechanisms and ensure compliance with international data protection standards.</li><li>Oversee corporate data protection strategy and compliance frameworks.</li><li>Develop long-term risk mitigation and privacy impact strategies.</li><li>Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on data privacy trends.</li><li>Lead discussions with regulators and industry bodies on evolving laws.</li><li>Drive adoption of privacy-enhancing technologies and automation.</li><li>Optimize data governance processes through advanced analytics.</li></ul> Your profile The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of GDPR, European data protection laws and cross-border data transfer regulations, with a strong preference for candidates who are fluent in Chinese to support our global operations. Your ideal profile looks more or less like this: <ul><li>Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Law, IT, or Data Governance.</li><li>Minimum 8 years of experience as a Data Protection Officer or in a similar role within Europe</li><li>In-depth knowledge of GDPR and other European data protection laws.</li><li>Proven experience in managing data protection compliance in multinational organizations.</li><li>Strong understanding of data security practices and technologies.  Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Chinese (Mandarin) B2/C1 is highly preferred.</li><li>Relevant certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or ISO 27001 are a plus</li><li>Deep expertise in global privacy regulations and cybersecurity practices.</li><li>Ability to influence senior leadership and drive strategic initiatives.</li><li>Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.</li></ul> Why us?
