You will assist in the operations, maintenance, repairs, and customer service of the water distribution system and wastewater collection system.</span></div><div><span style="font-size:12pt;"> </span></div><div><b style="font-size:16px;">Schedule:</b></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">- Day shift typically 7:00am – 3:30 pm Monday - Friday. Weekends off. Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of the position.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">- Maybe required to participate in Distribution/Collection on call rotation</span></div><br><br><h3>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</h3><ul><li>Analyzing blueprints to determine where construction projects will take place</li><li>Using magnetic, radar and electrical equipment to locate lines</li><li>Utilizing GPS or surveying equipment to pinpoint coordinates of lines</li><li>Performing calculations to arrive at the depth of lines</li><li>Researching the history of utility in the areas</li><li>Documenting any irregularities</li><li>Providing customer support for contractors and homeowners</li><li>Using the Groveland Manual of Standards verify and enforce proper parts and equipment are used</li><li>Assist with pressure testing, Right of Way inspections, Hydrant Flow testing, New Installation inspections, and Final Inspection’s</li><li>Work with contractors and vendors to uphold standards and update or improve standards</li><li>Create and maintain records of inspections</li><li>Preventative &amp; Corrective Maintenance on lift stations and their assets (generators/auxiliary pumps) including inspections.</li><li>Fix &amp; repair leaks to water, reclaim, and force mains as they arise.</li><li>Flushes hydrants, maintenance, exercises valves, and perform pressure tests of fire hydrants.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul><h3>What will you need to succeed?</h3><ul><li> Positive attitude and work ethic</li><li>High school graduate or equivalent.  A mechanical/technical/vocational school background or experience is a plus</li><li>Florida Class 3 Distribution License or ability to obtain within 1 year.</li><li>NASSCO (National Association of Sewer Service Companies) certification, or the ability to obtain within the first 6 months.</li><li>The ability to perform manual labor.  Must be able to lift or move up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.</li><li>Knowledge of the repair and maintenance of wastewater collection systems.</li><li>Skilled in oral and written communication.</li><li>Proficient in using Microsoft Word.</li><li>Successful candidates will be required to complete a  background check,  pre-placement physical and  drug screen before employment</li></ul><br>
