AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Environmental Permitting Specialist &amp; Wetland Scientist to join the Chelmsford, MA office and support projects in the Northeast and around the globe. We are looking for an Environmental Scientist with strong regulatory compliance skills to work with our multidiscipline teams to develop strategies and solutions on challenging permitting and wetland science assignments related to water supply, climate resiliency, watershed management, stormwater, ecological restoration, and wastewater projects.This position offers extensive growth opportunities in areas of interest to the right candidate, to take on additional responsibilities over time in our fast-growing operation.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Reviewing and applying a variety of local, state, and federal regulatory standards.</li><li>Coordinating with project engineers and primarily municipal, state, and federal clients to identify and resolve critical permitting issues.</li><li>Coordinating with state and federal agencies to gain consensus and approvals for work in jurisdictional areas.</li><li>Preparing applications for a variety of local, state, and federal permitting programs in New England, including forms, narratives, and coordination of drawings.</li><li>Assistance with business development opportunities.</li><li>Managing schedule and budget.</li><li>Preparing and delivering presentations to clients and regulators.</li><li>Supporting field efforts, including wetland delineations, vegetation sampling and/or wildlife habitat assessments.</li><li>Utilizing scientific principles, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop solutions to a wide range of challenging problems.</li><li>Recording, interpreting, and analyzing data in comparison to relevant studies and regulations to achieve regulatory compliance.</li><li>Writing technical reports and environmental impact analysis documents.</li></ul>
