As a Credit Associate, you will play a pivotal role in assessing and managing credit risk of our clients. Your responsibilities will include conducting credit analyses, supporting deal structuring and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure sound credit decisions that align with our risk management policies.You’ll be working closely with a team based in both the United States, Mexico and Perú. Responsibilities<ul> <li>Conduct reviews on underwriting requests, including background checks, document review, and various analyses on cash flow, yield sensitivity, liquidity, and debt coverage.</li> <li>Analyze credit reports, loan documentation, and contractual agreements.</li> <li>Develop financial models (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow).</li> <li>Cross-reference financial statements, operational projections, underwriting materials, and market data to identify potential risk factors.</li> <li>Prepare comprehensive underwriting memorandums for review by the Investment Committee.</li> <li>Interact directly with clients to resolve Investment Committee inquiries and gather supporting documentation.</li> <li>Set credit recommendations for deals up to $1.25M, ensuring all credit activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements</li> <li>Maintain continuous communication with Portfolio Management and Customer Success teams, including leading reference calls with stakeholders and addressing relevant news or developments.</li> <li>Collaborate with Due Diligence and Risk teams on Pre-Season and Marketplace processes.</li> <li>Support applicant pipeline management, ensuring accuracy and adherence to underwriting quality standards.</li> <li>Work with a high standard of professionalism and technical rigor.</li> <li>Maintain clear and concise documentation for each application, including customer correspondence, guideline exceptions, and key credit decision details.</li> <li>Ensure senior team visibility on relevant information throughout the investment process.</li> </ul>About ProducePayProducePay is revolutionizing the fresh produce supply chain by providing growers, distributors, and retailers with innovative financing solutions and real-time market insights.
